Lloyd B Helms

Lloyd B. Helms, age 98 passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Memorial Heights Nursing Home in Idabel, OK. He was born the son of Stokely B. Helms and Ethel Lee McBrayer Helms, on August 15, 1927 at Haworth, OK.

Lloyd graduated from Idabel Grey High School in 1945. He served in the Army from Steptember 1945 to 1947 and served in Korea from September 1950 to January 1952. Lloyd graduated from Southwestern State Pharmacy School in 1955. He was a registered pharmacist for over 55 years and owned several drugstores in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas. Lloyd was a Mason and a member for over 50 years of the Idabel Lodge #264.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Florence A. Jennings.

He is survived by his two daughters, Kelly Ann Haines and Suzie Braxton Helms, three grandsons, Cody Haines, Dean Routh and wife Amanda and daughter, Paige, and David Rough.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the White Family Funeral Chapel. Interment to follow at Denison Cemetery.
